From the time I was a kid, music has moved me. Till this day, I listen to, enjoy, consume and ‘use’ music. It inspires me. It makes me happy. It makes me rage. It plucks away at the strings of every emotion. So when I hear a really talented local band, I can’t help but become a fan, and that’s what has happened with me and Cause and The Effects. They have performed for us many times over the years as part of our Sunset Summer Concert Series and at other events my office has hosted, and they never disappoint in putting on a good show. They are definitely a fan favorite with our summer concert crowds, and we are proud to call them Staten Islanders. If you get the chance, go see these guys!

To this day, people still talk to us about our wedding band and how they rocked the night away for our big day. They were professional, willing to learn special requests, and went above and beyond what was expected. Since our wedding, we have also hired them for our block party and look forward to hiring them again for future events. Why anyone would hire another band doesn't make sense to me. They are simply "THE BEST!!!”

I attended a 50th anniversary party for the school I work at and Cause and The Effects was the band playing. There were about 150 people in attendance at this party and at any given time throughout the night, the dance floor was full. There wasn’t a song request they couldn’t do and the sound of their music was terrific. I would recommend them for any event you may be having - why hire a DJ when you can have a magnificent live band?

Cause and The Effects made my wedding extra special! I was married over a year ago and people still talk about how amazing my wedding band was! They were so incredibly flexible, and drove nearly 4 1/2 hours to my venue just to help me celebrate my special day! I highly recommend them for any wedding or event! They were fun, energetic, and kept all my guests dancing, singing along, and entertained.

There are not enough words to express the incredible level of talent, enthusiasm and professionalism of this group. By far the best live band I have heard in years and the nicest group of people you can meet. They played The Greenbelt Conservancy's fundraising, the Blue Jean Ball, in 2017 and we are welcoming them back this year with open arms. Having the Cause and the Effects as our band, on our wedding night, was the best decision that my husband and I made. They were absolutely incredible!! Vincent & Anthony were such a pleasure to work with - from their professionalism & enthusiasm, to their flexibility and willingness to do whatever you wanted, to make your wedding night perfect. I could not recommend this band enough. I wish I could have our wedding night on repeat.

First of all, these guys are SO TALENTED. They've got a wide library of the songs that every generation wants to dance to, and their energy is contagious throughout the night. The band learned special songs for our meaningful moments throughout the night (first dance, processional, etc.) and really went above and beyond to create a set list that made a ton of sense with our wedding venue and theme. Beyond being such a talented group of musicians, they're also the nicest and most professional. They were on top of the planning process, got to our wedding extra early for set up and rehearsal, and really made sure our wedding felt like "us." Our guests have been constantly telling us that Cause and the Effects were the highlight of the wedding, so much so that guests asked for their information to book the band at their future events! My biggest piece of advice is to hire this band if you want everyone on the dance floor for your entire wedding - Cause and the Effects will make it happen!

Cause and the Effects are one of the best bands in the city! I hired them for my bridal shower and people are still talking about how special it was. Not only did they put on an amazing show, they worked with us to put live band Karaoke together and they learned a song that I’d written and played it for me! It was a perfectly customized performance and I would recommend them to anyone for their wedding or event.
